| Abstract: | The author has proceeded with a cytotaxonomical study of the genusSideritis L. Chromosome numbers (mostly new) are reported for about twenty taxa from sectionEmpedoclea (Rafin.)Benth. This section occupies a very isolated position within the genus and has evolved quite independently. |
