Abstract:Rabbit skeletal muscle glycogen synthetase was phosphorylated by incubation with [γ-32P]ATP, Mg++ and cyclic AMP-dependent protein kinase catalytic subunit from the same source. One of the major phosphorylation site peptides was isolated following brief tryptic-hydrolysis, and shown to have the sequence
