Abstract: | Oxidation of the “exposed” adenosine moieties in intact tRNA's enhances the binding of heavy metal ions to the tRNA's. Experiments utilizing copper, cadmium and samarium ions indicated that binding enhancement was directly proportional to the degree of oxidation. |
