| Abstract: | 1. Mammary blood flow and concentrations of the stable metabolite of prostacyclin, 6-keto-prostaglandin F1 alpha, in mixed venous and mammary venous blood plasma have been measured in five lactating goats at various times during the day. 2. Natural variation in blood flow was not associated with any local release of 6-keto-prostaglandin F1 alpha into the mammary venous circulation. |
