| Abstract: | The restriction endonuclease Alu I (recognition site AG/CT) produces chromosomal aberrations in isolated human peripheral lymphocytes in vitro. The aberrations are of the chromosome-type when the cells are treated in G1 and of the chromatid-type when the cells are treated in late S, early G2. Additional treatment with ammonium sulphate leads to higher aberration frequencies than treatment with Alu I alone. |
