| Abstract: | In this study, by using a polyclonal antibody against factor VIII-related antigen (FVIII-RA), we have examined the expression of FVIII-RA in the blood and lymphatic vessels of the chick embryo chorioallantoic membrane (CAM). The antibody marked the endothelium of blood and lymphatic vessels starting from day 8 of incubation and the cytoplasm of the allantoic epithelial cells. The application of this antibody may be useful for quantifying neovascularization in response to various angiogenic stimuli applied to the CAM. Accepted: 12 October 1999 |
