Low temperature infrared spectra of polyglycines and C--H...O==C hydrogen bonding in polyglycine II

Infrared spectra of polyglycines I and II obtained at ?170°C. have been compared with those obtained at room temperature. The changes in frequency of some of the C—H stretching bands are consistent with the earlier suggestion that C—H …? O?C hydrogen bonds are present in the structure of polyglycine II.
