Increases in activities of membrane-bound hydrolases in pea cotyledons during germination

Membrane-bound proteinase and acid phosphatase activities, butnot cytosol proteinase activity, in pea cotyledons increasedafter lag phases during germination. The activity hydrolyzingN--benzoyl-D,L-arginine P-nitroanilide in the membrane fractionincreased rapidly in the imbibition stage.
