Abstract: | Summary We introduce a diffusion term in the Volterra-Lotka model for two interacting species. For certain simple boundary conditions there exists a Lyapunov functional which allows to investigate the asymptotic behavior. Either the solution converges to equilibrium or sustained oscillations occur. |
