Abstract: | Under conditions of the open-field test, we demonstrated that bemitil and benzimidazole injected intraperitoneally into rats in doses of 50 to 150 mg/kg suppress horizontal and vertical (motor and research) activities, as well as decrease the frequencies of episodes of grooming, defecation, and urination. Possible mechanisms underlying modifications of behavioral phenomena triggered by the above agents are discussed. Neirofiziologiya/Neurophysiology, Vol. 38, No. 1, pp. 85–90, January–February, 2006 |
