| Abstract: | Reexamination of the specimen of Hystoceroceras varicosum (Sow.) 'var. angolana' Haas with allegedly inverted last septal sutures (Haas, 1941) has proved Schindewolf's (1968) assumption to be correct, i.e., the relevant whorl fragment had been inserted inversely during reassembly.
