| Abstract: | Six new species of Melastomataceae from Ecuador are described: Miconia renneri from the montane forests in north-western Ecuador; Clidemia longipedunculata from the lowland rainforest in eastern Ecuador, and Miconia oellgaardii, Brachyotum johannes-julii, B. russatum , and B. incrassatum from the upper montane forests and plramos in southern Ecuador. |
