| Abstract: | An efficient synthesis for racemic cyclopent-3-en-1-yl nucleoside analogues has been developed starting from cyclopentadiene. The key step is the regioselective hydroboration of a mixture of intermediate alkylatede cyclopentadienes to give one cyclopentenol. |
