Naloxone does not modify the anti-inflammatory effect of counter-irritation with turpentine |

| Abstract: | In the rat, previous injection of turpentine reduced carrageenan-induced oedema. Naloxone and nalorphine did not modify the anti-inflammatory effect of this kind of counter-irritation. Morphine had no influence on carrageenan oedema. These results suggest that endogenous endorphins take no part to the anti-inflammatory effect of counter-irritation by turpentine. |
