| Abstract: | It is shown that the application of Fast Atom Bombardment (FAB) mass spectrometry to the sequence determination of peptides can be aided if the technique is used in conjunction with systematic cleavage of the peptides. Both the Edman degradation and carboxypeptidase digestion have been successfully applied in the sequence analysis of model synthetic peptides and mixtures of such peptides. |
