| Abstract: | An eastern woodchuck chronically infected with WHY was inoculated with one ml of chimpanzee plasma which contained HDV 103CID/ml.WHs-Ag was positive and anti-WHs, HDAg and anti-HD were negative before inoculation. After inoculation, HDAg became positive and its titer was 10 at the fifth week, 1 : 1280 at the eighth week after inoculation. The titer declined later. Degeneration and necrosis of hepatocytes deteriorated gradually and HDAg was detected in hepatocytes after the fifth week.Thirty six nm spherical viral particles were observed under election microscope. |
