Abstract: | A mathematical method for biological classification is defined. This method, which employs some of the basic notions of graph theory, is derived from three fundamental principles of phenotypic biological classification. The procedures together with their biological justifications are presented in detail. These procedures have been programmed for digital computer analysis and successfully applied to several botanical problems. |
