Abstract:The development of recombinant DNA technology has greatly expanded whole microbial cell processes for manufacturing amino acids, vitamins, or ribonucleotides. A novel well-designed scheme with integrated enzymatic conversions and fermentation enables the production of even complicated compounds, such as sugar nucleotides and oligosaccharides.
