Abstract: | The concentrations of prostaglandins PGE3 and PGF3α were 214 and 1500 ng/g wet trout gill tissue, respectively. A new prostaglandin, tentatively identified by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry as C22-PGF4α (590 ng/g wet tissue) was discovered. This was synthesized from docosahexaenoic acid. |
