| Abstract: | Improved and new methods for the chemical synthesis of alkoxylipids are described. In addition, some applications of synthetic compounds in biological and physicochemical studies as well as recent developments in the biosynthesis of alkyl and alk-1-enyl glycerolipids are discussed briefly. |
