Abstract: | -9-tetradecen-l-ol acetate was isolated from both extracts of female abdominal tips and of filter paper exposed to female (Walker). It is the second sex stimulant isolated from this species and, in stimulatory bioassays, it is ca. 1/100, 000 as active as the stimulant isolated previously, -9, -12-tetradecadien-l-ol acetate. According to attractancy tests, the natural sex pheromone system of complex contains other components in addition to these 2 stimulants. |
