| Abstract: | Addition of acetate to a suspension of Chlamydomonas reinhardtiicells in darkness induced transient and biphasic non-photochemicalquenching of Chl fluorescence (qN) due to ApH-dependent down-regulationof PSII and the transition from state 1 to state 2.
