Abstract: | The primary structures of the small subunit rRNA of Bradyrhizobium japonicum and Blastobacter denitrificans were determined by direct sequencing of enzymatically amplified DNA. Comparative sequence analysis revealed that Bradyrhizobium japonicum and Blastobacter denitrificans are members of the alpha-2 subgroup of the Proteobacteria and show a very close phylogenetic relationship with the genus Afipia. |
