Abstract: | Seeds of four celery cultivars did not germinate when incubated in buffered solutions in the dark at 22 °C. This high-temperature-induced dormancy was broken with either of the systemic fungicides benomyl or BAS 3460 F (mainly methyl-2-benzimidazole carbamate) when used in combination with a mixture of the gibberellins A4 and A7 (GA4/7). The fungicide thiabendazole was ineffective in these tests. |
