| Abstract: | Observations on shoot apices of Dryopteris aristata maintainedunder conditions of progressive starvation for periods of upto a year are recorded. Changes in the size of the shoot apexand leaf primordia, in the rates of inception and developmentof leaf primordia, and in phyllotaxis, are described and discussed. |
