Abstract: | Ophiobolin A enhanced stomatal opening of Commelina communisand partially abolished the inhibitory effect of calcium chloride. The same results were obtained by the phenothiazine drug, chloropromazine. The possibility of calmodulin involvement in stomatal responseto both materials is discussed.
