Teniposide is not effective in chronic lymphocytic leukemia |

| Abstract: | Teniposide has been evaluated in a phase II clinical trial in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). Among 16 consecutive patients with CLL entered in the study and treated with Teniposide, 100 mg/m2 weekly, no objective response was observed. Toxicity was generally mild and mainly hematologic. Teniposide at this dosage and schedule is an inactive drug in CLL. |
