Abstract:Nonuniform distribution has been revealed in the activity of the principal digestive hydrolases from the anterior to the posterior portion of the digestive tract in the burbot Lota lota (Linnaeus). It has been found that infestation with the cestode Eubothrium rugosum (Batch) leads to a decrease in the activity of proteinases and glycosidases in the mucosa of the burbot intestine. This infestation particularly strongly impacts the activity of proteolytic enzymes. The activity of the digestive enzymes of the host decreases even if the infestation rate is low.
