| Abstract: | A flower-inducing substance of high molecular mass, extracted from Lemna paucicostata, was purified to homogeneity. It had characteristics of a polypeptide, with an amino-terminal sequence of Leu-Val-Gly-Asn-Thr, and induced formation of flower buds of L. paucicostata 151 at a concentration of 10−10 molar. |
