| Abstract: | The occurrence of Sciadicleithrum variabilum on the gills of discus Symphysodon aequifasciatus larvae 7 days after hatching is reported for the first time. This suggests that altricial larvae are susceptible to Monogenea following gill differentiation and before complete yolk resorption. |
