| Abstract: | Summary The influence of different salts on the excretion of amylases has been studied sodium and potassium phosphates were added to the basal YNB soluble starch medium. The effects of sodium and potassium (from 0.005 M to 0.2 M) and the two surfactants, Tween 80 and Triton X were tested. The effect of the excretion of the amylolytic enzymes on the biomass yield and growth rate are discussed. |
