| Abstract: | Bruguiera cylindrica was first reported from Haikou in China by Merrill in 1927. The specimen cited by Merrill was researched carefully and the result reveals that the so called Bruguiera cylindrica is only a mistaken identification by Merrill. This specimen is Bruguiera sexangula. So Bruguiera cylindrica is not distributed to China and the foregone research results of this species should be revised. |
