| Abstract: | A method is described for the purification of aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases by affinity chromatography, using a column of tRNA lacking the cognate tRNA, followed by a column of the cognate tRNA. The ability of the enzyme to discriminate between cognate and non-cognate tRNA is exploited in a novel and rapid preparation of the two columns. |
