Abstract: | Summary The influence of various ternary systems consisting of surfactant, water and organic solvent on living cells of the strain Mycobacterium E3 was studied. A rapid and reliable method for the quantitative estimation of the metabolic activity of the cells on the basis of the reduction of a tetrazolium salt is described. |
