Abstract: | Cis-acting RNA elements control the accurate expression of human multi-exon protein coding genes. Single nucleotide variants altering the fidelity of this regulatory code and, consequently, pre-mRNA splicing are expected to contribute to the etiology of numerous human diseases. |
