Abstract:Procedures are outlined for the preparation of an albumin solution from fresh, aged, or reconstituted lyophilized plasma that had been heated in the presence of caprylate and acetyltryptophan. The purity of the albumin, as determined by electrophoresis in veronal at pH 8.6, varied between 92 and 98%.
