| Abstract: | The syntheses of several novel carbocyclic nucleosides which incorporate the cyclopentene moiety of neplanocin A will be presented. These include modified pyrimidine derivatives of the very potent antitumor agent cyclopentenyl cytosine and carbocyclic analogues of the ketohexose nucleosides psicofuranine and psicofuranosyl cytosine. |
