| Abstract: | Metabisulphate-treated red blood cells from sickle-cell patients were protected from sickling by exposure to supernatants from cultures of phytohemagglutinin-stimulated normal human lymphocytes. Such supernatants, when not thus stimulated, afforded no protection. |
