Abstract: | Trypsin covalently bound to Sephadex beads was used for the histolytic dissociation of neuronal cell bodies from rat brain. In contrast to unbound trypsin, the bound enzyme did not bind to the isolated cells. The histolytic efficiency of the bound enzyme, measured in terms of cell yields, was approx. 100-fold greater than the free enzyme. |
