Abstract: | PCR-SSCP analysis is a rapid, simple and sensitive technique for detection of various mutations, including single nucleotide substitutions, insertions and deletions, in PCR-amplified DNA fragments. Here I review, the principle and sensitivity of the technique, and also show how this technique has been used in clinical and basic medical sciences. |
