A NEW RECORD OF THE NUDIBRANCH GASTROPOD POLYCERA HEDGPETHI MARCUS, FROM THE INDIAN OCEAN OF SOUTH AFRICA

Polycera hedgpethi Marcus, 1964, previously known only fromthe Pacific coasts of California and Mexico, is recorded fromPlettenberg Bay, South Africa. The high degree of morphologicalconsistency betweeen Pacific and Indian Ocean material insuresthat they are conspecific.
