Abstract: | Metrosideros boninensis is an endangered endemic plant species from the Bonin Islands. We isolated and characterized nine microsatellite loci in this species. The expected heterozygosities of these nine markers ranged from 0.127 to 0.768. These markers described here will be useful for investigating the genetic diversity, genetic structure and gene flow, and planning for conservation of M. boninensis. |
