Abstract: | Summary A colchicine binding protein of the zoospore, flagellum, and pre- and post-mitotic germlings of the aquatic Phycomycete, Allomyces neo-moniliformis, was found to have a sedimentation coefficient of 2.3 S, and a molecular weight of approximately 30 000. The characteristics of this colchicine binding protein from Allomyces are compared to those of the 6 S colchicine binding proteins obtained from a variety of other organisms. |
