| Abstract: | The dermatan sulfate isomer was isolated from the larvae of a sea urchin, Pseudocentrotus depressus. Its repeating unit was characterized as 2-acetamide-2-deoxy-3-O-(β-D-idopyranosyluronic acid)-4,6-O-disulfo-galactose. This report is the first one to show the occurrence of a dermatan sulfate in invertebrates. |
