Abstract: | Summary A 3-kb DNA fragment, inserted in Bluescribe vector, was used to localize the desmin gene by in situ hybridization on human metaphase chromosomes. The probe was labelled by Bio-11-dUTP and detected by immunofluorescence. Subsequent R-banding indicated that the desmin gene is located in band 2q35. |
