Studies on avian heart pyruvate kinase during development.

The cytokinin-active nucleoside 6-(4-hydroxy-3-methyl-$\text{cis}$-2-butenylamino)-9-β-$\text{D}$-ribofuranosylpurine, i.e. ribosyl-$\text{cis}$-zeatin, has been isolated from an hydrolysate of tRNA from $\text{Corynebacterium fascians}$. The identification of ribosyl-$\text{cis}$-zeatin is based on biological activity, liquid chromatographic mobility and uv spectrum of the purified material as well as the mass spectrum and gas chromatographic mobility of its trimethylsilylated derivative.
