Supersizing the mitochondrial respiratory chain

Abstract:The complexes of the mitochondrial respiratory chain assemble into higher-order structures called supercomplexes or respirasomes that are thought to be important in channeling electron flow and controlling ROS production. A number of recent papers identify the first protein factors necessary for supercomplex assembly and stability.
