Applications of neural networks to recovery of biological products

Abstract:Artificial neural networks (ANN) are being applied to recovery of products from fermentation broths. Recovery methods for which mathematical models are complex or non-existent are particularly suitable for control and analysis by ANNs. Use and potential of artificial neural networks for product recovery applications are reviewed.
