| Abstract: | —The fluid spaces of synaptosome beds were estimated by vol. measurement and also by a combination of chemical and enzymic analyses. The extra-synaptosomal space of the beds was concluded to be about 80 per cent of their total vol. Beds prepared by conventional techniques after sucrose density-gradient centrifugation were found to contain 0-08 M-sucrose within the synaptosomes. |
