Abstract:The paper deals with study of the contents of heavy metals (Zn, Cr, Ni, Co, Pb, Cu, and Cd) in the soils of the southern Zeya-Bureya Plain and their distribution throughout the trophic chain: fodder plant—cattle—man. The highest biogenic accumulations have been revealed for Zn and Cu at all levels of the trophic chain. The transition coefficients of the most toxic elements (Pb and Cd) increase in the trophic chain, which evidences their concentration at its higher levels.
